Skill Yoga is launching a groundbreaking new course on its Master Course Platform!
We are bringing you an exclusive course led by an internationally renowned yoga teacher specializing in Sattva yoga for men – Caleb Jude Packham.
What is Sattva yoga?
Sattva yoga combines physical yoga practice, breathwork, meditation and some other powerful yogic techniques. In Sanskrit, sattva means whole. Developed in the Himalayas and rooted in the ancient Vedantic and Tantric Traditions, Sattva Yoga is one of the most comprehensive approaches to yoga in the world today.
What does the course look like?
Once you start the course, you will practice three times a week for one month, guided by Caleb. It’s entirely up to you when you practice – choose the best time to suit your schedule. Through a chat in the course, you can connect with us, Caleb and other participants to share experiences, thoughts and perspectives.
The course is an open-level one, which means you can do it regardless of your previous yoga experience – or the lack of it! Each week, you will work on your physical fitness, mental health, focus, mindfulness and you will learn how to work with difficult situations. Your body will get stronger, you’ll feel energized, and your mind will be clearer and calmer.
Are there any perks?
Yes! If you already have a running Skill Yoga subscription, you save 25% off the course price, so instead of $40, you’ll only pay $30! But even at the full price, this course is a steal because once you start, you will have lifetime access to it.
If you’re not a paying Skill Yoga subscriber, you will get two months of free Skill Yoga App access as a bonus once you’ve completed the course!
Meet your teacher – 5 questions for Caleb Jude Packham
- What started your yoga journey?
Yoga called me at a time in my life when I needed it, literally, in body, mind and spirit. It was 2016 and I was struggling to come to terms with the end of a long-term relationship. This emotional trauma manifested in my physical body as plantar fasciitis – acute inflammation of the connective tissue of the feet. Taking a step forward was near impossible – and painful – both physically and metaphorically.
After trying every form of physical therapy – physio, osteopathy, acupuncture – without success – I decided to drop all skepticism and give yoga a go. And it worked!
- What’s your personal weekly yoga routine?
As a teacher I practice everyday – this includes asana, breath-work, kriya and meditation. But I always take time for my own personal practice on the mat because holding space for myself enables me to be a better teacher – and human.
- When you created this course for Skill Yoga, what inspired you?
I was excited by the idea of creating an authentic four-week transformational program that would provide the opportunity for people to deep dive into this unique practice which brings together all of the different elements of yoga – asana, pranayama, kundalini kriyas, meditation, mantra and timeless yogic wisdom. It’s been really fantastic collaborating with Skill Yoga and I’m looking forward to sharing this with everyone.
- What are the key things you’d like people to take away from your course?
The understanding that yoga is far more than a physical practice. And that with daily commitment and discipline to the practice, yoga will create positive shifts on all levels of your being – physical, mental and emotional.
- Is there something you’d like to say to people who are unsure about yoga?
Try it. But try it with an open mind and an open heart. There’s a reason this 5,000-year-old technology has a place in our world today. The ancient yogis developed timeless techniques for you to access and this knowledge has been passed down through generations of gurus, yogis and seekers. There couldn’t be a more important time than today for all of us to get on the mat and really tune into ourselves.
This is a truly amazing course and we’re excited to be able to bring it to you! Caleb is also known as the Wellness Warrior and he delivers what he promises!
